Practical points for a good experience

The transport :

To go to Lithuania, the easiest option is to fly. No direct flight from Brussels or Paris.

From France, the cheapest flight is from Paris Beauvais. But it is not very convenient to get there.

It is also possible to go to Vilnius by car. It will take two-three days to drive from Lille. This option is feasible but much longer and more tiring.

As far as we are concerned, we will fly to Beauvais. To go there, Pauline's parents will take us to the airport to make it more practical.

The climate  :

Lithuania, in Lithuanian, is called Lietuva... that is to say country of the rain. It doesn't rain a lot, but the weather changes very quickly. So, there can be a great sun, and an hour later, it will rain heavily.

In winter, it is cold. For the few really cold weeks, we need to bring a good pair of gloves, a hat or headband and a good coat. At its coldest, the temperature dropped to -20°C last year.

In summer, however, it is warm and sunny. We reached 30°C in early June.
